Zafara

A Zafara is one of the pet species in Neopia. It's unlike any Earth pet. A Zafara looks something like a cross between a kangaroo and a puppy with a leaf shape at the end of their tails. They have big, dark eyes and are always shown with no more or less than three spikes along their spine. Zafaras are rumored to be very adventurous. They are also rumored to bring good luck at times. Zafara Day falls on February 3rd.
The official 'neopian' definition of a Zafara is: "An adventurous little neopian. Treat them right, and they will bring you lots of good luck." The following facts are also included on the default Zafara petpage:
- Zafaras have a hearing range beyond any other pet in Neopia.
- Although their sense of smell isn't too great,
they can still pick up the scent of sugar donuts!
- Their protective fins help their defensive moves during a fight.
- Long believed to be lucky, the zafara foot was a treasured item long ago.
- A Zafara's tail is used as a weapon.
