Random Event

Sometimes you'll get a note at the top of a NeoPets page that "something has happened". These random events can result in a change of status for your pet, the opportunity to perform a faerie quest, a new item or neopoints.

You can affect the chances of some random events, and others will only occur under certain circumstances. For instance, you will only get the Soup Faerie avatar when you visit her and get food, but you won't necessarily get it. You may have to go back multiple times before the random event occurs.

Random events can often be unpleasant, resulting in the loss of inventory items or neopoints. It is thus unwise to keep valuable items in your inventory, and you should put extra neopoints in the bank as quickly as possible.

A Ghost cackles insanely and steals 40 Neopoints from you...

(The amount is usually 10% of the "cash" you have. One reason to keep your money in the bank.)

An ominous looking Red Pteri flies by. "I hope you didn't want to actually do anything on the site today." *BRAAWWKK*

(If you have a Ptrei pet, you will receive Neopoints.)

• Something has happened!

The Ghost Lupe growls 'Dont go to the Mystery Island!!!'

• Something has happened!

You are now eligible to use 'Symol' as an avatar on the NeoBoards!

*:This message is received randomly at the Symol Hole.

A robot flies past you on fire! Help! Help! Dr. Sloth is after me!

(No effect.)

• Something has happened!

You find a piece of the Secret Petpet Laboratory Map!

• Something has happened!

The tooth faerie arrives for your lost tooth, and gives you an avatar in return!

• Something has happened!

A slimy scamander slithers over this page and hisses at you!

When you are on a message board and you get a random event, all the posters' avatars will look like the default star that is everyone's avatar before they pick one.

A Ghost cackles insanely and steals 97 Neopoints from you…

The Bug Brothers jump up and steal 40 Neopoints!!

The Grundo Leader attacks!!! He steals ‘Two Dubloon Coin‘

The incessant mewing of a Mutant Kadoatie drives you completely mad, and you give its owner 5,000 Neopoints to take it away!

The Ghost Lupe growls and suddenly all your Neopets are healed back to max hit points!

You find a piece of the secret laboratory map!

It’s raining… Mortogs?

A passing zombie groans and hands you a piece of a treasure map!

(Yourpet) has suddenly gained a level!

Lupurus appears and gives you a Super Lupurus Tooth!

Boochi fires his raygun at (Yourpet), but thankfully he misses!

The Ghost Lupe growls 'Oh an Aisha... that would be great for a mid morning snack'

You find a Fruity Aisha Sundae on the floor! (When you "find" items on the floor, they will be added to your inventory.)
