Sometimes a NeoPet faerie will ask you to perform a quest for her. If you get the item she requests, you will get prizes. Sometimes it's worth it; sometimes it isn't.

While you are on a quest, you will not be able to use the Shop Wizard to look up prices in the user shops. So, you can ask on the message boards or your guild's for help finding user shops with good prices (all prices given in neopoints).
