The Eyrie ("ear-ree") is a playful griffin that enjoys battling. While it is not officially native to Mystery Island, it has been said that Eyrie are native to "the tropical climates of Neopia". They enjoy adventure and love to seek out knowledge.

Eyrie are 160cm (5.25ft) on average, making them the largest Neopet.[1]

It is not limited edition, meaning you can create one at any time.

Site description: "Majestic and courageous, Eyries are fierce competitors whose pride and skills are unmatched. With mighty wings, these battle-tested aerial savants dominate both the skies and land. Despite their intense nature, they can be delightfully playful, often finding joy in friendly sparring matches."[2]

Previous Versions[]

Eyries were originally released at the launch of Neopets (15th November 1999) as Cerpull, which resembled a cross between a Grarrl and a medieval dragon. A year later, it was redesigned as Tatsu, which shared traits with both the Cerpull before it and the Eyrie to come, with its twisted horns and beak-like mouth. This pet was unpopular with many former Cerpull owners that in early 2001, it was finally replaced by the Eyrie in a contest was held between three different designs to see which one the users liked best; the one seen below is the winner. This design was later tweaked to make its backside and wings more visible.[3]
