Chomby

The Chomby (chom-bee) is a shy Stegosaurus/Brachiosaurus-like Neopet originating from Tyrannia. Legends say that because of the Chomby's large appetite, Tyrannia became visible to the rest of Neopia. The Chomby's favourite foods are Cactus Blossoms and Terry Berries, but have a deep hatred for fungus balls.

Chomby are 75cm (2.46ft) on average, making them one of the medium sized Neopets.^[1]

The Chomby is limited edition, meaning it can only be created on its special pet day, earned from a Magical Plushie, Morphing/Mysterious Swirly/Transmogrification Potion, the Holiday Dream Neopet Giveaway, Species Change Premium perk, or Lab Ray.

The Chomby has changed remarkably little since Tyrannia's discovery, although its plates appeared rounder pre-conversion.^[3] (They also tended to flip around a bit.)

Additionally, the Tyrannian Chomby was touched up a day after it was introduced on Chomby Day, 2022, giving it more a generalized appearance to fit in more with the other Chomby colours, as well as making it easier to customise.^[4]
