Blue Scorchio Mini Pal

A Blue Scorchio Mini Pal

Mini Pals were real-life pocket video games released by Neopets and JAKKS Pacific on January 1, 2009. Each came with a Virtual Prize Code in their packaging and another one could be unlocked upon reaching level 50 (and going to Trophy View).

Premise[]

The Mini Pal was the Neopian equivalent to Tamagotchis, with the player being able to care, feed, and play with their Neopet.

Site Description[]

" Play games! Collect 150+ items! Level up! This [insert Mini Pal style here] comes with a virtual Code the will unlock a Virtual Prize. "

Styles[]

  • Red Bruce
  • Yellow Meerca
  • Green Acara
  • Blue Scorchio

Features[]

  • IR Mode - Made two players of Mini Pals able to play games or give gifts. For IR Mode to be active, the systems had to be within four feet of each other.
  • Inventory - Where the player would feed your Neopet or give it a Petpet or toy. The player could also view trophies in Trophy View and view outfits.
  • Stats - Name, hunger, happiness, level, Neopoints, and experience points.
  • Store - Allowed the player to buy outfits, food, and toys.
  • Neolodge - Allowed the player to keep their Neopet's hunger and happiness constant without playing. Costed 1,000 NP.
  • Options - Allowed the player to change the date and time, sound, and contrast.

Games[]

  • JubJub Dodge - In this game, the player had to dodge falling JubJubs. Getting hit three times by the JubJubs or dodging 250 of the pets would end the game. At the end, the player would be rewarded with 1NP and 1 XP for each dodged JubJub.
  • Last Stand - The objective of this game was to compete with the player's Neopet to see who could remove up to three black dots first. If the player won, they would receive 100 NP and 50 XP; if the Neopet won, the player would receive half the amount of NP and XP.
  • Moon Rock, Scroll, & Slorg Scissors - The Neopian equivalent to Rock, Paper, Scissors played best two out of three. Ties did not count. 50 NP and 10 XP were awarded for winning, and 25 NP and 15 XP for losing.
  • Item-O-Rama - The objective of this game was to press the + button when the item shown at the beginning of the game appeared. 10 NP and 10 XP were gained for winning.
  • Fashion Fever - Where the player could view clothes from the store on their Neopet. All wearables costed 500 NP, and no NP or XP were awarded for playing.
