The Draik (drake) is a little dragon-like pet native to Meridell. It is seen by many pet owners as a symbol of wealth due to its rarity.
Draik are 55cm (1.80ft) on average, making them one of the smaller Neopets.[1]
Draiks are restricted Neopets, so they cannot be created via normal means (through the Create a Pet page (not even on Draik Day, except for on 9/9/09), Species Change Premium perk, or the Lab Ray); although Morphing and Transmogrification Potions can produce a Draik, the main way to get one is by hatching a Draik Egg at the Draik Nest, which restock very rarely at Merifoods for a high price.

Pirate Draik Eggs can also be acquired via the Forgotten Shore, the introduction of which massively deflated overall Draik Egg prices and the pet's overall rarity.

9/9/09 Draik glitch[]
On September 9th, 2009 (9th of the month of Gathering, Y11), a glitch led users to be able to create Draiks via Create-a-Pet for a few days before TNT fixed it.[4][5]
