Rukis (roo-kee) are ant-like Neopets that inhabit the Lost Desert. Their tough outer armour keeps them protected from the blazing sun, enabling them to travel great distances.
Rukis are 59cm on average, making them one of the medium-sized Neopets.[1]
The Ruki is limited edition, meaning it can only be created on its special pet day, earned from a Magical Plushie, Morphing/Mysterious Swirly/Transmogrification Potion, the Holiday Dream Neopet Giveaway, Species Change Premium perk, or Lab Ray. The pet was made limited edition after the Vandagyre was officially released.

The Ruki has barely changed at all from introduction, but during 2007's big art update, its talons were made lees pointed to look more like hands and the pet was also repositioned to make its legs look less cluttered.[3]
