Hmmm... Chia pets, sounds familiar. As of November 2006 with over 2,600,000 Chia pets, they were the 28th most popular species in Neopia.
Neopia is inhabited by numerous and fascinating species of pets, petpets and petpetpets.
February 18th (The month of Awakening) is Chocolate Chia Day (Chia Day).
[edit] Appearance
Chia look sort of like big jelly beans with hair, a big smile, eyes, clown feet and stubby arms. They come in the standard, basic colors: red, yellow, green and blue. However, if they eat a chia pop, there are rumors that their appearance may change to "match". For example, if a Chia eats an orange chia pop, its body will change to look like an orange. The styles the Chia can become are (as of February 2007):
Apple, Asparagus, Aubergine, Avocado, Baby, Blue, Blueberry, Carrot, Chocolate, Chokato, Christmas, Cloud, Custard, Desert, Durian, Faerie, Fire, Ghost, Gooseberry, Grape, Green, Halloween, Ice, Island, Lemon, Lime, Mutant, Orange, Pea, Peach, Pear, Pepper, Pineapple, Pink, Pirate, Plum, Plushie, Purple, Red, Robot, Snot, Snow, Split, Spotted, Starry, Striped, Thornberry, Tomato, Tyrannian, White, Yellow
Several of these, like apple, asparagus, lemon, orange and pineapple are unique to the Chia. No other species can have those styles.
